IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

CONSTITUTIONAL WRIT JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE W.P.A. No. 6537 of 2020 with IA No. C.A.N. 1 of 2020 (Old No. C.A.N. 5299 of 2020) Biswanath Karmakar & Ors.

Vs.

The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited & Ors.

Mr. Mihir Kundu ... for the WBSEDCL When the matter was taken up last on November 21, 2022, the affidavit-in-opposition filed by the WBSEDCL was directed to be kept on record and the time for filing affidavit-in-reply was extended, as a last chance to the petitioners, till November 28, 2022, that is, today.

However, at the time of call, none appears for the petitioners, although the WBSEDCL is represented through counsel.

Hence, there is no other option but to dismiss the writ petition for default.

Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 6537 of 2020, along with IA No. C.A.N. 1 of 2020 (old No. C.A.N. 5299 of 2020), are dismissed for default without, however, any order as to costs.
