The petitioners complain that their land was acquired by the Indian Railways for extension of Howrah-Burdwan Chord Railway route. No compensation was granted to the petitioners for the same. The private respondent has obtained a portion of the compensation by misleading the authority. The petitioners filed an application before the third respondent ventilating their grievance on 1st April, 2021. The said application is yet to be considered. The petitioners pray for consideration of the said application by the authorities at an early date. Having considering the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the third

respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application filed on 1st April, 2021 within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioners and the private respondent, in accordance with law. With such observation, WPA 9944 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavits are invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
