The petitioners are aggrieved by an order dated March 15, 2021 issued by the Additional District Magistrate (G) and Collector of Excise, (North 24Parganas). It appears that, the authority exercised jurisdiction under the provisions of the Bengal Excise Act. The impugned order is appealable under the provisions of Rule 3 of the Consolidated Rules. In view of the fact that, an appeal lies against the order impugned, a Writ Court need not interfere. In such circumstances, WPA 9945 of 2021 is disposed of by permitting the petitioners to avail of their statutory alternative remedy, in accordance with law. (Debangsu Basak, J.)
