Report filed by the Assistant Engineer (Civil), Building Department, Borough-IV and V dated 20th September, 2023 mentions that most of the portions of the unauthorized structure standing at premises no. 6, Patwar Bagan Lane have been demolished.

The remaining portions will be demolished immediately after availability of the technical support. As regards the delay in acting in accordance with the direction passed by the Court on 4th July, 2023, it has been mentioned that huge demolition programme was fixed by the engineers of total 21 wards and accordingly, there has been a delay in effecting the work of demolition in the instant case.

The Executive Engineer is directed to conclude the balance demolition work in respect of the unauthorized construction at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
