1. The petitioners seek "A" category pay scale and are aggrieved by denial of the same by the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purulia in his order dated 1st February, 2017.

2. In the impugned order, the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purulia referred to a Government Order No. 246-SE(Law)/PL/5S-744/2010 (Part) dated 24th February, 2011. By the said Government Order, the Governor was pleased to direct that the teachers who obtained B.T./B. Ed/PGBT Degree/Diploma prior to 1st July, 1996 and drew "A" category pay scale would be allowed to do so.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners do not possess such qualifications and joined after 1st July, 1996.

4. The petitioners, therefore, cannot be entitled to the said "A" category pay scale. This Court does not find any infirmity in the impugned order dated 1st February, 2017.

5. In those circumstances, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in this writ petition.

6. The instant writ petition must fail and is hereby dismissed.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
