Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court on several occasions. The petitioner renews his prayer. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the petitioner was absconding for about six years before he was taken into custody in 2022.

On merits, the petitioner does not deserve an favourable consideration at this stage.

The bail prayer for the petitioner is accordingly rejected at this stage.

This Court is informed that six out of eleven witnesses have been examined so far.

Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. The application for bail is disposed of.
