For the Petitioner This is an application for expeditious disposal of Criminal Appeal No. 141 of 2018 pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 4th Court at Howrah. The said appeal arises out of an order dated October 9, 2018, passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Municipal Court at Howrah whereby the learned Judicial Magistrate by the said order dated October 9, 2018, sentenced the opposite party no. 1 to suffer imprisonment for six months and also directed to pay compensation of Rs. 20 lakh. It was further directed that in default, the opposite party no. 1 shall undergo simple imprisonment for six months.

The petitioner before this court is the complainant before the learned Magistrate. The petitioner prays for speedy disposal of the said appeal.

Having regard to the innocuous nature of the prayer made in this revisional application, I dispose of the application giving a direction upon the learned Sessions Judge in the court below to

make an endeavour to dispose of the Criminal Appeal No. 141 of 2018 pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 4th Court at Howrah as early as possible preferably within a period of six months from date.

The criminal revisional application being CRR 1207 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
