By an order dated 11.03.2024 passed by this Court in WPA 3521 of 2024, it was directed that the police authorities should keep a sharp vigil at the locale, ensure that no breach of peace takes place and see to it that no order of a civil court was violated and the surveillance would include frequent visits by police patrol. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that in the meantime, the construction work has gone on in violation of the civil court's order and there was no surveillance by the police. They rely on photographs appended to the application for contempt.

It reveals from one of the photographs that the work was going on. But, the photo was taken on 13.02.2024. This is before the date of passing of an order by this Court i.e. 11.03.2024.

Therefore, the petitioners have not been able to make out a case for contempt of court.

Accordingly, the same is dismissed.

However, the police authorities shall abide by the earlier order of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
