The petitioner claims to be an employee of Visva Bharati. A show cause notice was issued to him on March 20, 2020 and a formal disciplinary proceeding initiated against him thereafter.

By an order dated July 4, 2020 the service of the petitioner stood terminated.

The petitioner preferred an application for review before the Executive Council by a representation dated March 11, 2021.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the review preferred by the petitioner against the order of

termination of service has not been considered or disposed of by the University till date.

The learned advocate representing Visva-Bharati submits that the statutory review preferred by the petitioner on March 11, 2021 will be considered within the time as specified by the Court.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Karma Samiti (Executive Council), VisvaBharati to consider the application for review filed by the petitioner strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of ninety days from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
