17.04.2023 Ct. No. 29 CHC Rejected C.R.M.(A) 1592 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with SL's SL No.463/2022-2023 dated February 2, 2023, Dadpur Circle, Singur, Excise.

And In the matter of : Laksman Mudi ...... petitioner Mr. Rabi Sankar Chattopadhyay ....for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury, Mr. Mainak Gupta ....for the State 105 litres of liquor which was subsequently found to be unfit for human consumption was seized from the vehicle belonging to the petitioner.

Petitioner did not respond to notices under Section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code as also under Section 160 thereof. Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

CRM (A) 1592 of 2023 is rejected.
