Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that in spite of they being in possession for the last 50 years, they are being attempted to be dispossessed from the property by the respondent nos. 5 to 11.

Petitioners informed the police authorities on or about 13.03.2024. But no action has been taken by the police authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent no. 5 to respondent no. 11 denies and disputes the contentions advanced by the petitioner. As none appears on behalf of the state, Mr.

K.J. Yusuf, learned Additional Government Pleader is directed to appear with a junior of his choice. His

appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

In view of the police authorities being informed on 13.03.2024 and the apprehension of the petitioner being that he may be dispossessed at the behest of respondent no. 5 to respondent no. 11, I direct that the police authorities if they find that petitioners are in possession, they would ensure that the petitioners are not dispossessed without due process of law.

The police authorities will also keep a strict vigil and ensure that no breach of the peace takes place and/or any untoward incident results because of the strained relationship between the parties. With the aforesaid observations WPA 9597 of 2024 is disposed of.
