Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner has prayed for recovery of certain articles allegedly which are lying with her in-laws.

Mr. Suryaneel Das, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 30th June, 2026 of Officer-inCharge, Ashoknagar Police Station, North 24 Parganas and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 30th June, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 30th June, 2026 that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a criminal prosecution being Ashoknagar P.S. Case No.113 of 2026 dated 28th February, 2026 was initiated under Section 316(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

It further appears from the said communication that Streedhan articles were made over the petitioner in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution

[2] and subsequently, in terms of the order dated 13th May, 2026 of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat, North 24 Parganas remaining valuable articles were also released in favour of the petitioner by taking zimmabond from the petitioner.

In addition thereto in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution charge-sheet being Ashoknagar P.S. Charge-sheet no.262 of 2026 dated 30th May, 2026 was filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 7.

In view of recovery of Streedhan articles and release of same in favour of the petitioner as disclosed in the communication dated 30th June, 2026 and filing of charge-sheet in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution, no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises.
