The petitioner in pursuance to Agenda No.53 was issued an offer letter dated 20th June, 2025 for grant of Permanent State Carriage Permit subject to the fulfilment of condition within 80 days from the date of issue of the letter.

Since, the vehicle of the petitioner was not ready an application for extension was moved on 20th June, 2025.

Finally the petitioner got a temporary certificate of registration on 9th December, 2025 and a fresh application for permit was moved on 27th January, 2026.

The competent authority vide Agenda 48 again proposed running of state carriage permit vide sl. No.189. However, the petitioner has not yet been issued the offer letter by the competent authority. In this regard a communication dated 6th April, 2026 was sent which has gone un-responded.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an appropriate direction may be issued.

Learned Government Pleader submits that the concerned authority shall consider and take a reasoned decision within the reasonable time in accordance with law.

In view of the discussion made hereinabove, the concerned authority being the respondent no.3 is directed to take necessary direction in accordance with law within a period of four weeks of the date of communication of this order. The reasoned order be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks. 8.

Petition stands disposed.
