Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was acting as a relationship manager of a Bank. The petitioner was involved in the loans being granted by the bank to certain borrowers. Apparently, such borrowers failed to repay the loan and the accounts became non-performing assets, consequent to which the present police complaint was filed. He submits that the petitioner is no way involved.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents in the case dairy. The de facto complainant is represented.

Apparently, the petitioner was in contact with the borrowers of the Bank whose accounts became nonperforming assets so far as the petitioner is concerned. Apparently, the petitioner was carrying on business in partnership with another person without informing the Bank with regard thereto. The defaulting borrowers apparently, deposited money in the Bank account of such partnership firm. The petitioner now claims that the petitioner was no way involved therein. Such claim obviously is a subject matter of the investigation. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and the quantum of the money involved, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM 3498 of 2021 is dismissed.
