Datta, Mr. Rajat Dutta ...for the State In the earlier round of the writ petition, this Court 27-04-2023 KI Ct. 238 by an order dated April 4, 2023, permitted total ten students of 1st semester and 3rd semester from the relevant college to be registered under the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development and also permitted them to sit for a special examination on the condition that the college would pay a sum of Rs.2 lakh to compensate the Council for the additional expenses that may be incurred in conducting the special examination.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner that though it was mentioned in the writ petition that the writ petition was moved for 29 students but at the time of submission, it was inadvertently submitted that the writ petition related to 10 students only. By filing this petition, the petitioner has prayed for an order granting similar reliefs to the

remaining 19 students.

Mr. Tapan Kumar Mukherjee, learned senior advocate appearing for the Council, submits that like the earlier occasion, if the college bears the expenses for arranging a special examination for those additional 19 students, the same reliefs can be given to them in terms of the order dated April 4, 2023.

Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of on the same terms of the order dated April 4, 2023, with a direction upon the college to pay further a sum of Rs. 1 lakh to the Council to compensate for the potential additional costs incurred in conducting the special examination.

Subject to payment of the said sum of Rs.1 lakh, the Council will register the students and permit them to participate in the upcoming examination.
