This writ petition is pending since 2014 and was earlier also adjourned since no one had appeared for the petitioners.

In this writ petition the prayer is for cancellation of the licence granted to the respondent no.8 for running a foreign liquor off shop at and from 63, Rabindra Sarani, Liluah within District Howrah. Learned counsel for the State has informed that the licence for foreign liquor shop is granted on yearly basis. It is not known if for the current year any licence is granted to the respondent no.8. That apart, no one is appearing to prosecute this petition. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed in default.
