Petitioners undertake to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Accordingly, the application being CRAN 4480 of 2020 is disposed of.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits the petitioner is in custody for about 3 years and there has been no progress in the case. The learned advocate further submits that the materials so relied upon by the prosecution do not make any foundation for detention.

The learned advocate for the State draws the attention of this Court to the relevant materials in the case diary and further submits that 12 witnesses have already been examined.

Having considered the stage of the case and the nature and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. 6025 of 2020 is, thus, disposed of.
