Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that two other co-accuseds are on anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report of the victim and her statement recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The petitioner herein is the husband of the victim. The injury report and the statement suggest that the victim was beaten by an iron rod by the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 2161 of 2022, is rejected.
