The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with offence under Sections 341/325/326/307/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that he has been falsely implicated in this case out of a political grudge and, as such, his prayer for anticipatory bail be allowed.

Learned advocate, appearing on behalf of the State, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that in the said incident, the victim sustained serious injuries and there are specific implications against this petitioner in the alleged offence.

We have heard learned advocates of both the sides and perused the material in the Case Diary. It appears from the statement of the injured recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure that there are specific

allegations against this petitioner of his involvement in the offence for causing serious injuries to the victim. In view of the aforesaid and keeping in mind the nature and gravity of the offence and the possible extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to allow the prayer of the petitioner for anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail being CRM 3520 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.
