The instant writ petition was filed by the petitioner challenging the proceeding initiated under Section 10(1) of the West Bengal Highways Act, 1964. 2.

During pendency of the writ petition, final order has been passed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Egra on 16th July, 2025 under Section 10(3) of the Act.

The said order is an appealable one.

It will be open for the petitioner to take steps for preferring appeal before the appellate forum. 5.

Report filed by the Assistant Engineer, Contai Highway, Sub-Division, P.W.(Roads), Directorate dated 28th July, 2025 is taken on record.
