Petitioner and respondent no.4 are represented by learned advocates.

However, State respondents are not represented. 3.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that though today no report is filed on behalf of the concerned police authority but in terms of the order dated 27th April, 2026 police protection was provided to the petitioner during election and till the date of counting of votes. 4.

In the same breath, it is also submitted that complaint was lodged against a particular person by the petitioner but the concerned police authority did not take steps.

In view of submission made on behalf of the petitioner that police protection was provided to the petitioner in terms of the order dated 27th April, 2026 and Assembly Election, 2026 as well as counting of votes is over, no purpose would be sub-

served in keeping this writ petition pending. 6.

Hence, the writ petition stands disposed of.

However, if petitioner is aggrieved due to inaction on the part of the police authority for not taking steps based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate in pursuit of remedy. 8.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
