Petitioners are in custody for three years and nine months. Accordingly, they pray for bail on ground of delay in trial.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits examination of the prosecution witnesses is complete. Defence witnesses are being examined. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. Trial is at its fag end. Offence, if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.
