Learned advocate for the petitioners files the supplementary affidavit in terms of the order dated September 10, 2020.

A notice of Rajendrapur Gram Panchayat, the respondent no. 6 herein is under challenge in the present writ petition. The respondent no. 6 by the impugned notice has distributed some lands in favour of private respondent no. 8. The petitioners are claiming that those lands belong to them. Be that as it may, in any event the respondent no. 6 is not justified in distributing the said lands in favour of the respondent no. 8 inasmuch as law does not sanctify such action of the said respondent no.6 in any manner whatsoever.

That being the position the impugned notice dated March 18, 2020 issued by the respondent no. 6 thereby settling the lands mentioned in the said notice in favour of the respondent no. 8 is set aside. W.P.A. 6619 of 2020 is disposed of.

The connected urgency application being CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No.: CAN 5442 of 2020) is disposed of accordingly.

No order as to costs.
