The petitioner is in custody for 150 days and prays for bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that chargesheet has been submitted. The petitioner was granted bail earlier by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jhargram and upon charge sheet being submitted under Section 317(4) of the BNS attracting punishment for imprisonment for life, the bail was cancelled. Similar complaint has been lodged against the petitioner at Bardhaman wherein he has been granted bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

The petitioner is a member of a gang involved in siphoning grants allotted to students of 11th standard of various government schools for purchase of electronic device under the 'Taruner Swapno' scheme. The data of the students was manipulated and the money diverted to various accounts.

Considering the incriminating material which has transpired against the petitioner prima facie suggesting his involvement in the crime, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
