Petitioner has repeatedly approached the concerned Magistrate.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that there is a dispute over inheritance of property between the petitioner and the private respondents and no representation was submitted before the police authorities.

Be that as it may, since the nature of the dispute has its genesis in a land dispute I am of the view that the nature of the dispute has a civil flavor

and the police authorities hardly have any authority to deal with the same. Police authorities would keep a vigil and would ensure only that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility and/or any untoward incident taking place which is resulting from the strained relationship existing between the parties. 9164 of 2025 stands disposed of.
