Allowed C.R.M.(A) 1239 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Arambagh Police Station FIR No. 140 of 2024 dated 21.03.2024 under Sections 138(b) of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh.

Kolley Mr. Sababuddin Laskar ...for the petitioner Mr. Anindya Sundar Chatterjee ...for the State Petitioner complied with the order dated April 18, 2024. Considering the conduct of the petitioner and the materials in the case diary, we grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The petitioner will report before the Investigating Officer as and when called for by the Investigating Officer till the conclusion of the investigation.
