The report includes the statements of Sujit Saha, Sourav Banerjee and Chandan Das. The statements so recorded reflect that the complainant and the victim are not interested to pursue the litigation as they have settled their disputes and differences relating to Behala Police Station Case No.149 of 2020 (corresponding to A.C.G.R. Case No.2417 of 2020) under Sections 114/323/341/506 of the Indian Penal Code.

In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties and the statements reflect an amicable settlement and the

unwillingness of the affected persons as well as the complainant to pursue the litigation, I am of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by directing the trial to continue as chances of conviction are bleak.

Accordingly, all further proceedings arising out of Behala Police Station Case No.149 of dated 14.05.2020 (corresponding to A.C.G.R. Case No.2417 of 2020) pending before the learned ACJM, Alipore as also the charge-sheet so submitted in connection with the instant case is hereby quashed. Thus, CRAN 1 of 2022 along with CRR 1626 of 2022 is allowed.

Pending connected applications, if any, are disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
