Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 9 months and he has been unnecessarily detained as there has been no progress in the trial.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the evidence of the witnesses have already been concluded and the next date has been fixed for examination of the accused under Section 313 of Cr.P.C.

Having considered the advanced stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS)797 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record.
