learned senior advocate for the respondent no.7, are present.

2. Heard.

The principal prayer of the petitioner to command the Election Commission to revoke/cancel the candidature of respondent no.7 in ensuing West Bengal Assembly Election, 2026.

Despite repeated query, learned counsel for the petitioner could not show any statutory provision which mandates that Election Commission should take such a decision or undertake such exercise. In absence thereof, no case is made out.

3. Admission is declined.

Petition is dismissed.
