The writ petition was preferred as the grievance of the petitioner with regard to respondent nos. 7 & 8 was to the extent of excavation of soil from the plots of the petitioner. To that effect, information was furnished, but no steps were taken by the police authorities.

Having considered that the petitioner approached the learned Executive Magistrate at the relevant point of time and the reports were to be furnished before the learned Executive Magistrate, I am of the view that this Court is not in a position to assess regarding the nature of the accusations. Learned advocate for the State is present.

Having regard to the nature of the accusations, I direct that the police authorities would ensure that no illegal activity is carried out at the behest of the

private respondents and in case there are excavations of soil being carried out, report be made to the appropriate land authorities for ensuing necessary compliance to be made under the relevant provisions of the Land Reforms Act.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 9745 of 2024 is disposed of.
