The order dated 4th May, 2026 passed by the Director of Medical Education, West Bengal, mentioning that the petitioner will be allowed to pursue DM (Medical Oncology) course from Sri Aurobindo Medical College & P.G. Institute, Indore, Madhya Pradesh by availing leave under Rule 175(2)(b)(iii) of West Bengal Service Rules - Part-I inclusive of other leave admissible to him and after completion of the course, the petitioner has been directed to resume duty in the department. 2.

As the Director of Medical Education, West Bengal, has already allowed the petitioner to pursue the DM course, accordingly, no further order is required to be passed in the instant writ petition.

Be it recorded that the respondent/employer will not have any objection to the stipend which the petitioner may be paid by the college where he will be pursuing the subject course as per the extant rules.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
