The initial grievance of the petitioner was that the complaint lodged by him before the police authority on 6th November, 2023 was not acted upon. During pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner expired and his heirs have been substituted in his place. The heirs of the petitioner/substituted petitioners seek to lodge a comprehensive complaint before the police authority ventilating their grievance. Such liberty is granted. On receipt of such complaint the police authority shall forthwith take necessary steps in accordance with law.

In the meantime, the police authority shall keep strict vigil in the area in order to avoid any untoward incident in view of the strained relationship between the parties and shall ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
