The petitioner seeks electric supply.

Learned advocate appearing for the CESC authorities submits that the petitioner is not the owner of the property concerned. Moreover, adequate infrastructure is not available at the locale to install the meter for supply of electricity.

Learned lawyer for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will take requisite steps for making available adequate infrastructure at the locale for the installation of the meter and that the petitioner will pay for all the cost, charges and expenses for the electricity supply. In such circumstances, upon the petitioner depositing the cost, charges and expenses for the electric supply, the CESC authorities will grant electric supply to the petitioner. Doubtless, the petitioner will

make available requisite infrastructure for the installation of the meter at the locale.

It is clarified that unless the petitioner complies with the payment as directed as also makes provision for adequate infrastructure, CESC authorities need not grant him such electric supply.

In the event such arrangements as aforesaid are made, CESC authorities will provide electric supply within seven days thereof.

WPA 6673 of 2020 (Old No. 6673(W) of 2020) is disposed of.
