The matter is marked 'For Release' in today's list on the basis of incorrect submissions made by the counsel for the petitioner. It appears that the matter pertains to alleged inaction on the part of the police.

The petitioner has lodged a complaint to his superior, inter alia, to the Superintendent of Police, Nadia with regard to acts of omission of Atul Mondal and Dhulipada Biswas, Inspectors of 9th Battalion, Krishnanagar, Nadia. 3.

The petitioner claims victimization and torture. He also claims that his wife's modesty has been outraged by the said two persons.

The Superintendent of Police, Nadia has heard the petitioner and is yet to pass final orders.

It is, therefore, ordered that the Superintendent of Police, Nadia, after proper investigation, shall pass appropriate orders within a period of 15 days from date and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of 7 days thereafter.

The petitioner shall be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law if so advised in respect of the orders of the Superintendent of Police, Nadia.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
