Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the father of the principal accused. He had nothing to do with the offence allegedly committed by his 20 years old son. The son is presently on bail.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits as follows. The FIR claims that after the victim had been induced to leave her home and go to the house of the principal accused, he was made to enter into physical relationship. Thereafter, she heard that the petitioner and others were planning to sell her. The accused were involved in immoral trafficking of women. The statement of the victim recorded before the learned Magistrate supports such contention.

In view of the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
