Supplementary affidavit filed in Court today be kept with the record.

I have heard learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and perused the materials placed on record. This writ petition is disposed with a direction upon the Secretary, Food and Supplies Department, being the respondent No. 1 to grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, and thereafter, pass a reasoned order within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. The concerned respondent is directed to communicate the reasoned order to the petitioners within a week from the date of passing such reasoned order.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case and the respondent Authorities shall be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law subsequent to passing of the reasoned order.

With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.
