The petitioners seek permission for making minor repairs at premises no. 54/2, Gopal Banerjee Lane, P.O.-Howrah, P.S.-Shibpur, Howrah-711101.

The application is pending consideration before the Assistant Engineer, Borough-IV for a considerable period of time.

Without entering into the merit of the application, as it appears that the same is pending consideration before the Assistant Engineer, Borough-IV, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the said respondent to consider the representation filed by the petitioners in accordance with law, after giving a

reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties and to pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the parties immediately thereafter. The aforesaid respondent shall consider the matter at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 10th March, 2023 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
