The petitioners' grievance is inaction on the part of the concerned authority of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission in intimating result in view of their participation in the selection process i.e. SLST2016 (upper primary). However, on perusal of the writ petition it appears in paragraph 3 it has been stated that the petitioners qualified Teacher Eligibility Test, 2015 and subsequently called for verification. According to the petitioners what steps the commission did take after verification of the candidature of the petitioners till date have not been intimated to them.

While considering the grievances of the petitioners on query being made to the learned advocate for the petitioners it has been found apart from qualifying TET 2015 the petitioners did not take any further steps which they are required to take by submitting application before the concerned authority of the West

Bengal Central School Service Commission for consideration of their candidature for being appointed in the post of Assistant Teacher in upper primary section in connection with SLST 2016. No document has been produced from which this Court can come to a finding that being TET qualified candidates, petitioners made application for being appointed as Assistant Teachers in upper primary section in connection with SLST 2016. In addition thereto it has not escaped the notice of this Court that the SLST 2016 commenced in the year 2016 by accepting online application.

However, subsequently by the dint of the order of a Co-ordinate Bench, fresh process started from Rule 12(2) stage and according to the learned advocate representing the commission substantial progress has been made to conclude the selection process after initiating the selection process from the stage as directed by the Coordinate Bench. Whereas the present writ petition was filed on 11th May, 2022 when no scope is left open to the petitioners to offer their candidature for being considered in the aforesaid selection process. In view of aforesaid scenario this Court does not find merit in this writ petition, accordingly the same stands dismissed.

However there shall be no order as to costs.
