Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the State Transport Authority has wrongly dismissed the application of the petitioner for permit on the ground that there is no vacancy. Learned counsel submits that in fact there are vacancies. Learned counsel, however, submits that as per instructions he would limit his prayer only to the extent that his representation dated 27th February, 2026 made to the Secretary, Transport Authority, West Bengal be considered and decided as per law expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the State submits that without admitting the contentions made in the petition and without prejudice to the contentions to be taken by the State. The Secretary, Transport Authority, West Bengal shall dispose of the representation dated 27th February, 2026 within four weeks in accordance with law after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard.

In view of the submissions made, the petition is disposed of. Since the respondents have not filed the opposition, the averments made in the petition are deemed to have not been admitted. The respondents are directed to dispose of the representation dated 27th February, in accordance with law after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard.

WPA 9665 of 2026 stands disposed of.
