This writ petition was taken out to assail the order dated November 15, 2006 passed by the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas whereby the prayer of the petitioner to switch over to General Provident Fund scheme from Contributory Provident Fund scheme was turned down. This writ petition was filed in the year 2007 when the petitioner was aged about 56 years.

I am of the view that with the passage of time, this writ petition has become infructuous.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. All connected applications, if any, are also dismissed.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
