It has been pointed out that the subject-matter of the present case involves recovery of 400 grams of Brown Sugar from the joint possession of the petitioners. Having considered that the seizure is of commercial quantity of contraband, I am of the opinion that the provision of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted. Accordingly, the application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 490 of 2025, is dismissed.

However, the State would take steps for expediting the progress of the trial.
