18.04.2023 Ct. No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 1621 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Mohanpur Police Station Case No. 12 of 2023 dated 10.01.2023 under Sections 417/376/354 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

And In Re : Anupam Sur ...... petitioner Mr. Prasanta Kumar Nanda ....for the petitioner Mr. Debabrata Chatterjee Mr. Santanu Chatterjee ....for the State The victim recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicating the petitioner in the incident of rape.

Medical examination of the victim tends to corroborate such claim of the victim.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1621 of 2023 is dismissed.
