1. The prosecution case, in a nutshell, is that the accused on 20.02.1997 was found driving an auto-rickshaw bearing registration no. WBY 7112 with passengers through Bentinck Street without any authority. A case was registered under sections 66/192 and 115/194 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and accused person was examined u/s 251 of Cr.P.C and pleaded not guilty and claimed to be tried.
