Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Petitioner is an ex-employee of a bank.

Subsequent to the petitioner being relieved from the duties, the bank discovered that in respect of at least eight customers, spurious gold was pledged and loans sanctioned thereon. Petitioner was in-charge at that material of time. Petitioner on behalf of the bank accepted such spurious gold and sanctioned such facilities.

In such circumstances, involvement of the petitioner in the incident cannot be overlooked. Consequently, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1624 of 2023 is dismissed.
