The petitioner is an employee of Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC). Since the petitioner was unable to attend office due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a deduction of his salary was made for the full months of August, September and seven days in October and one day in July, 2020.

Ms. Dey (Basu), learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits, that the petitioner made a representation on March 21, 2023 but such representation has not been considered till date by the respondent no.3/Managing Director.

Mr. Behani learned counsel appears for the CSTC. Considering the rival submissions of the parties and the materials placed on record, this Court is of the view that justice will subserved by directing the respondent no.3/Managing Director or any other authority delegated by him to consider the representation of the petitioner within eight weeks from date. The petitioner will be given a personal hearing and

a reasoned order shall be passed thereon. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks of passing, thereof.

With the directions aforesaid, WPA 9056 of 2023 is disposed of.

Since no directions have been given for filing of affidavits all the allegations contained in the present writ petition are deemed not to be admitted by the parties. All parties shall act on the serve copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities.
