For the petitioner Mrs. Tapati Samanta ........ for the State The petitioner prays for consideration of the representation made on his behalf on 28th February, 2020 praying for clearing his legitimate dues, arrear dues and pensionary benefits since 1981.

The learned advocate representing the respondent authorities submits, upon instructions from the District Library Officer, Murshidabad that the appointment of the petitioner Ex-Junior Library Attendant was made as cycle peon. Subsequently the designation was changed as Junior Library Attendant at Gangin Netaji Ashram Charka Sangha Pathagar (Government Sponsored Library) on 3rd June, 1997. The petitioner retired from service as Junior Library Attendant on 31st July, 2011 from Nabagram Thana Union Rural Library (Govt. Sponsd.).

After his Pension Payment Order was issued from the Directorate of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance the petitioner received a sum of

Rs.85,995/- only on account of Gratuity, Rs.1,29,793/- on account of Commuted Value of Pension and Rs.1,00,680/- only on account of Leave Salary.

As per the office record there is no due regarding the retirement benefits of the petitioner. From the aforesaid submission it does not appear that there is any due which is payable in favour of the petitioner.

In view of the above, the directions sought for by the petitioner for consideration of his representation is not liable to be allowed.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. The instruction given by the District Library Officer, Murshidabad is retained with the records. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon completion of usual legal formalities.
