Ms. Partha Sarkar Mr. Abhijit Basu ..........for the petitioner Ms. Soma Roy Chowdhury .....for the LIC The only prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the Appellate Authority of LIC to expedite an appeal pending with the LIC from 07.09.2019. The Appeal arose from an order of rejection of the first level of the hierarchy in LIC namely the Senior Divisional Manager.

The LIC is represented. Learned counsel submits that the appeal has been pending adjudication by reason of various factors.

Upon hearing learned counsel, the factors for delay which are alluded to are no answer to the intervening delay of three years for the petitioner to see final adjudication of the matter.

WPA 8706 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.3 being the Zonal

Manager, LIC to dispose of the Appeal within two weeks from the date of communication of this order. The decision of the Appeal shall be communicated to the petitioner within an outer limit of four weeks from today.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
