This case pertains to the year 2010.

Despite direction, no affidavit-in-opposition and affidavit-in-reply have yet been filed.

The writ petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking order/direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no.5 to forthwith take all effective steps so that the respondent no.7 may be declared disqualified to be a Member of the Panchayat Samity and then to remove the respondent no.7 from the Membership of Harirampur Panchayat Samiti, District-Dakshin Dinajpur in accordance with law as also to restrain him from taking any decision.

This case is pending since 2010. Almost 15 years have been passed.

Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this writ petition, it seems to this Court that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the case anymore either on the ground that the purpose of filing this writ petition has been resolved or that he has abandoned his prayer due to passage of time. 8.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed without any order as to costs. Connected applications, if any, are also, thus, disposed of.

The interim order, if any, stands vacated.
