Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are the brother in law and the wife of the brother in law of the victim deceased. The principal accused being the husband is in custody.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits as follows. The incident happened within a year of marriage. A minor was married off to the principal accused. She was tortured by all in laws including the present petitioners for dowry. Even as per the statements of neighbours who witnessed such torture, they tried to intervene, but the accused persons did not relent. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de facto complainant opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not think that this is a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail to the petitioners is rejected.
