The State of West Bengal and others Although none appears for either of the parties, in view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made in the writ petition, no purpose will be served in keeping the matter pending unnecessarily.

The limited prayer of the writ petitioner is for a direction upon the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner, annexed at page-15 (Annexure-P2) of the present writ petition.

As such, WPA 10158 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner, appearing at page-15 (Annexure-P2) of the instant writ petition.

It is, however, made clear, that the maintainability and/or the merits of the claims made by the petitioner in such representation have not been entered into by this court in any manner whatsoever and it will be open to the respondent authorities to consider and decide the same on its own merits in accordance with law. The respondent authorities shall, at the earliest thereafter, communicate their decision to the writ petitioner.

The writ petitioner shall intimate this order to the respondent authorities at the earliest.

For abundant caution, since the parties remain unrepresented, the office shall communicate this order to the respondent authorities at the earliest.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
